Installation

Devin Desktop
- Executable / application files
  - User install (default): %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Devin (i.e. C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Programs\Devin)
  - System-Wide install: C:\Program Files\Devin
- User data & settings:
  - %APPDATA%\Devin (i.e. C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Devin)
  - Global settings / cache: %USERPROFILE%\.devin (i.e. C:\Users\<Username>\.devin)
Devin CLI
- Executable binary
  - Standalone / script installations place the binary in %LOCALAPPDATA%\devin\bin\ or %USERPROFILE%\.devin\bin\.
  - If installed via a global package manager, it will reside in the package manager’s bin directory (e.g., %APPDATA%\npm\ or %LOCALAPPDATA%\pnpm\).
- Configuration Files:
  - User config: %APPDATA%\devin\config.json (i.e. C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\devin\config.json)
  - MCP config %APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json
  - Project-Level Config (per repository): <project_root>\.devin\config.json and <project_root>\.devin\mcp_config.json
- Logs
  - %APPDATA%\devin\cli\logs\ (i.e. C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\devin\cli\logs\)

Command line

`devin help` `devin --help`	Display help.
`devin update`	Check for updates and optionally install them.
`devin -p "prompt"` `devin -p -- prompt words here`	Print response and exit.
`devin -c` `devin --continue`	Continue the most recent session in the current directory.
`devin -r` `devin --resume`	Pick from recent sessions.
`devin -r brisk-otter`	Resume a specific session by ID.
`devin skills list`	List all available skills.
`devin skills list --trigger user`	List all available user-triggerable skills (defined in the skill’s frontmatter).
`devin skills list --trigger model`	List all available model-triggerable skills (defined in the skill’s frontmatter).
`devin skills show <name>`	Show details for a specific skill.
`devin skills paths`	Show skill directory locations

Slash commands (doc)

/exit
/quit Exit the CLI.
